Rough terrain forklifts have been manufactured by CareLift Equipment, since 1962. Each day the company strives to deliver value and help all their customers reach their objectives as they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
There are 2 general types of boom lifts. These models are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Often, these models are hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal option for tasks which need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine can rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be raised vertically to below horizontal. Since the operator can maneuver and steer the vehicle while the boom is fully extended, it is a very versatile equipment. These units are available in diesel, propane or gas configurations as well as 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
The articulated boom lifts are used for jobs which require to reach up and over obstacles so as to gain access. These specialized lifts are used for jobs which are not easily completed by straight telescopic booms. These lifts are practically identical to the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects in the work environment.
Several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers in order to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is required before utilizing boom lifts so as to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks which used to need many more man hours to be done in a much shorter time period. These machinery have revolutionized the material handling industry and have really increased productivity.
