Man Lift Designs
There is an extensive variety of articulating lifts on the market. There is pretty much a style of lift to fit each circumstance, application and work venue. There are certain manufacturers who specify in lifts for dangerous atmospheres like for example underground tunnel situations, petro-chemical plants, and other locations where there is a risk of dust or explosive gases, for example in grain-processing plants.
Other lifts have been designed especially to mount onto big flatbed trucks or onto trailers or onto the back of a pick up truck. There are models which incorporate articulating booms that could be self-propelled and are controlled by the lift operator, whereas others have the ability to pivot 360 degrees.
There are both indoor and outdoor lift models. They come in both 4-wheel and 2-wheel powered options. In several cases, the platforms are adjustable and several models feature baskets where the worker stands. These baskets or platforms are adjustable and enable the employees to remain level or swing into place, depending on what the operator should complete the job. There are several baskets and platforms that come wired so as to enable the operator to plug tools in as required.
