Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts provide height and versatility. These models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the individual using it to raise the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular lift trucks can not move the cargo towards and away from the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually utilized in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is required.
In cases needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments referred to as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It is available with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specifically to hoist personnel. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a strap or chain that is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
