Used Comedil Tower Cranes Bellevue

Looking into the skyline of a larger city, one will see tower cranes constructed near tall buildings and skyscrapers. These large structures are described as a central shaft which is counterweighted with a long boom used to balance the crane's load. There are many kinds of tower crane types. These lattice-woven structures are available for special applications. Several common kinds consist of top-slewing, self-erecting and bottom-slewing models. Slewing means turning around a fixed point. The main kind of top-slewing tower crane which is used in construction these days is the horizontal boom. These eye-catching structures are found throughout the world.

How to Erect a Tower Crane
Tower cranes are usually used on construction sites to transport materials from low to high areas and vice versa. They are used for high-rise structures in places where a wheel-mounted crane is not big enough to carry out the work. Only skilled experts must be the ones to erect a tower crane. In order to keep everybody safe, this task needs to be done by professionals. There is a high risk of collapse, that could result in extensive loss and damage if you try to raise it yourself with hardly any experience.

When preparing to erect the crane, an excavator needs to dig out a pit large enough for the base of the crane. Next, this hole is filled with concrete. Steel anchors are set into the concrete, and afterward, the first part of the crane's mast is connected. The concrete must cure for 24 hours.

When the base has set, attach the first mast section securely to the anchors using the proper bolts. Make sure that the mast is vertical by using your spirit level. Afterwards, fix another section of the mast by initially utilizing bolts and keep repeating this process until your desired height has been attained. It will be necessary to employ a telescopic boom or a scissor lift in order to perform this step.
