Heavy Forklifts
Hyundai is targeting a new customer base with their new array of heavy forklift trucks. Various industries, from the concrete and natural stone businesses, to the steel business, the transportation of heavy goods in the ports and the railway sector are all relying upon and working with heavy duty equipment. The power and efficiency offered by the units keep operational costs low and provide the best conditions for efficient work. These machines could excel in the nearly all demanding environments.
Providing the required power on all of the large capacity models, the Cummins diesel engine varies from 162 horse-power to 250 horse-power. TierIII emission standards are met with engines that have 6 cylinders. These kinds of forklifts are able to take the truck up to a speed of 35 km/h. It provides for a high climbing ability on steep slopes and rough terrain and offers great acceleration too.
The operator is able to use a switch to be able to choose 1 of 2 driving modes. While in "Power" mode, full power is available for work on tough terrain or heavy loads. In the "STP" mode, the trucks are able to save lots of fuel during light-duty work. Additionally, simply by pressing a switch, the operator can automatically maintain a selected speed without touching the accelerator pedal. This is an added fuel saving function. The forklift's fully automatic transmission gently shifts through the gears, making the machinery easy to maneuver and comfortable to operate.
A comfortable and spacious working place is offered by a well-ventilated cabin. The cabin combines fatigue-free work with high performance. The powerful heating and air conditioning system helps ensure the operator is comfortable inside. The cab was ergonomically designed to give a bird's eye view of all of the controls, in addition to the overall safety of the unit. A CD player and an MP3 player put the finishing touches on giving the enjoyable atmosphere that Hyundai machines are supposed to have.
