Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Back-up alarms and motion alarms are audio device accessories which generate enough sound so that the sound is heard overtop the noises generated from the forklift itself.
The sound generated by the audio device should be distinguishable from other audible devices or sounds from the work environment. The sound should also be different from the other noise or audible devices within the work place. The audible device could end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; hence, care has to be taken.
Hearing protection makes it harder to hear the audible device and to determine which direction and distance it is coming from. Audible devices could occasionally get disabled from both operators and workers as they could find them very irritating. As well, audible devices can also be objectionable to residents in the vicinity.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They utilize tempered glass in order to prevent injuries. In addition, these cabs feature an emergency exit via window removal. The levels of noise are reduced at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For every particular application, the operator is able to choose the performance requirement. Furthermore, it enables a supervisor to set the model's maximum performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to adjust and lessen the maximum performance of the unit allows a new operator to learn the operating features of the machine in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is required to enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machine in a more controlled manner.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the tail swing area, as well as the operating environment behind the truck.
