Combilift is a business that was first established by engineers Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett. They had over 40 years of engineering experience between them when they originally established the company in the year 1998 within Monaghan, Ireland. In only over a decade, Combilift became a leader within the global long-load handling market, providing equipment to over 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted global network of distributors that have helped expand distribution into many markets all over the globe and utilizing their extensive experience and knowledge, Moffett and McVicar have built equipment that are in high demand and had sold 10,000 models by mid 2009.
Below is a summary of several of the Combilift units.
There are a range of mast options for the C-Series Combilifts, while these equipment offer as much as nine meters and lift capacities that top out at 25,000 kilograms. Available engines are in gas or LPG, diesel, and battery or electric and the C-Series Combilifts can operate within guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
Combilift Straddle Carriers offer the ability to transport heavy, oversized loads such as fully loaded containers which weigh as much as 35 tons. These loads can be transported all around a facility or work site and the Combilift Straddle Carrier can carry fully loaded containers where required, whether it be from the trailer to the ground, from the ground to the trailer, or from trailer to trailer. These kinds of equipment are a cost-effective, efficient solution for many haulage, shipping, and distribution businesses, even those with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series is a lot different compared to other side-loaders due to its ability to drive in four directions. This multi-directional steering is available with the cab on the left or on the right. This all-wheel drive, hydrostatic lift truck can benefit companies in numerous ways, one of which is to enable facilities to have aisles which are narrower. It also enables the capability to block or bilk stack by driving forward. This extremely manoeuvrable truck is usually found to be a better alternative as opposed to many typical sit-down sideloaders due to the various added features and capabilities.
